I remember reading an question where someone asked why we need Celeron Processors, and answers were surprisingly interesting. bellow are the few snippets of the same:
Student: I have a 11.6″ laptop and I love it. It’s a convertible. I use it for coding, reading, working etc. It’s battery can last up to 13 hours because it has a Celeron cpu. Celerons have very low power consumption. Max 6 Watts. Avg ~4 W.
A Business Owner :
They actually work pretty well for most things, it’s not like they suck at everything, you just can’t game on them, edit video etc…Celerons are present in a lot of sub $300 computers.
A Guest: Get a modern day i3 if you can afford it. In fact they do 4 cores instead of 2 now.
